Export slump sees vendors rushing online
Chinese clothing sellers turn to online retailing to try to tap domestic buyers as the Mainland’s e-Commerce industry expands.
e-Commerce represented 4% of China’s retail sales last year but transaction value jumped 30% to RMB5.8 trillion, equivalent to 12.5% of gross domestic product. An estimated 16% of the population shops online.
