The objective of this general FAQ page is to provide you with a list of the most frequently asked usage questions for the Cargo Services Far East Limited website. Importantly, this FAQ represents only a fractional collection of the questions we receive about our products. 1. How can my company become a member for access to your e-Cargo functions?
 


All overseas agents will automatically become a member of E-Cargo. Customers can register through our website or contact our Development Manager, Mr. Raymond Yim at 852-24393901 or raymondyim@cargofe.com. Membership is free for regular customers.

2. What are the benefits of the e-Cargo system?
 


E-Cargo members can view their shipping documents online on our web including Bills of Lading, Manifest and Invoice.

E-Cargo Plus members can view and print their documents online as a batch of whole Vessel/Voyage. Moreover, they can also receive our e-mail alert (shipment advice) with all documents in one file, or with a hyper link for you to download your documents in one file on our web whenever required. (This function will be provided in the first quarter of 2001).

3. How can I be assured that the e-shipping functions are secure?
 


By using login ID and password, only registered members can request data from our web. Additionally, users can only obtain their own corresponding data from our system.

For example, a B/L will only be retrieved by a user if his company is one of the parties involved in the B/L. That is, his company is the Shipper, Consignee, Agent or Notify party

Also, for additional security purposes, our system and network are under protection of a firewall, thus, data loss and data leakage can be prevented.

4. If I have a problem or question with the e-shipping system, who should I turn to?
 


You can e-mail our web master and he will get back to you the next working day. Our ultimate goal will be to provide a 24 hours hotline service.
